Great at High School Sock Hops or crusin the Drive In, everybody remembers their 1st Cherry Bomb! John Mellencamp even immortalised the CHERRY BOMB in a song!. Is it really any wonder they were banned in the USA! This item is a beautiul CHERRY BOMB display piece that hangs on the wall. It has 16 different Cherry bomb replicas from the MAJOR firecracker companies of the day (Unexcelled, Kent, United, Victory, etc.) from 1931 on. Great care has been taken to make sure all of the 16 examples are historically as accurate as possible in size, color, fuse type, manufacturer, date of production etc. There were some pretty large and formitable CHERRY BOMBS available in the 30s-40s, bordering on mini hand grenades! This piece was originally created as a display piece for the American Museum of Fireworks in Orlando FL., unfortunately that venture went broke before even opening the doors. The display is made of wood, 3 dimensional shadow box style with a depth of 1 1/2 inches. It contains replicas of 16 of the most popular, actual sized, 3dD Cherry bomb salutes ever manufactured! It is framed with original art work incorporating original box and label designs form the various manufacturers and a depiction of Uncle Sam having some fun with CHERRY BOMBS!
